Trikala Embraces the Refugees
With the contribution of the local community of Trikala and its Municipality, a two-day workshop was conducted, aiming at raising awareness of trauma and compassion towards it. Local schoolteachers were informed about obstacles refugees encounter during their immigration, and under the supervision of a psychologist, educators had the chance to interact with the parents of the refugees. Experiential seminars were also organised for schoolteachers, offering an intense personal learning experience to understand what it is like to be a refugee.
