Traumatised Children Oriented Field Study
A screening of children from age 6 to 11 in Child Care Houses was conducted to track and report their psychological, developmental and academic progress by a commission consisting of a special-ed teacher, clinical psychologist and psychological consultant.
The study was conducted by selecting 50 random children of 86 in total, leading to a sample of general and statistics.
Through the examination of the statistics of the sample group, some of the subjects exhibited;
• self-confidence issues
• infantile behaviours to draw attention
• social integration discord
• decrease in academic success
• speech disorder
• behavioural and sentimental breakdowns
The statistics highlight the need for recognising children with trauma and special-ed care for these traumatised children.
