Policy Recommendations Training Teachers to deal with Refugees
UNESCO underlines the diverse background of the refugee students, stating that refugees’ needs should be treated specially by educators, as their mental health has suffered. That being said, many teachers may not be fully equipped and struggle to cope with the learning difficulties of their refugee pupils. Hence, teachers should undergo comprehensive teacher training courses and peer-to-peer coaching to ensure adequate skills in educating young refugees.
