Pedagogical Intervention in A Refugee Accommodation Structure: An Ongoing Action Research
Ass. Prof. Dr Alexandra Androussou published a scientific paper illustrating the educational intervention carried out by the Department of Early Childhood Education in the hosting structure of Elaionas. The paper presents the pedagogical design applied to refugee children between 2-15 years old, considering various elements such as the physical and mental traumas they had experienced and other psychosocial, political, and cultural factors. The overall intervention applied an intense game-based methodology focusing on providing psychological relief to the young refugees, creating a security framework, and providing incentives to participate.
