Investigation Of The Self-Esteem, Interpersonal Relationship Styles And Coping Skills Of Adult Individuals Who Have Been Exposed To Traumatic Life Events In Childhood
This thesis aims to compare the self-esteem, interpersonal relationship styles and coping skills of adult individuals who have experienced the loss of parents in childhood and adults who have not experienced parental loss. Scales used in the thesis are Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Annex C), Interpersonal Relationship Scales (Annex D), and COPE (Annex E).
The research seeks answers to the following three questions.
Question 1: Do adults who lost their parents in childhood and stayed in orphanages have lower self-esteem than adults who did not experience the loss of parents and stayed in orphanages?
Question 2: Do adults who lost their parents in childhood and stayed in orphanages have weaker interpersonal relationships than adults who have not lost their parents and stayed in orphanages?
Question 3: Do adults who lost their parents in childhood and stayed in orphanages have weaker coping skills than adults who have not lost their parents and stayed in orphanages?
