Friends: A Psychoeducational Intervention Program
“Friends” is a psychoeducational program based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that aims to develop the skills of young school-aged refugees through creative activities during counselling sessions. This tool is designed for schoolteachers and can be applied in school contexts. In this doctoral dissertation, the teacher can familiarise themselves with the structure of sessions and paradigms of good practices and will gain an understanding of the basic principles of CBT and the beneficial consequences it has on refugee children in terms of cognitive, physical, and behavioural development.
