Refugee Trauma Initiative Hellas
Refugee Trauma Initiative Hellas is a Not-for-Profit Company that develops tools and maintains a repository of resources to raise awareness of the distress and trauma refugees face. In 2018, they organised a four-day workshop to educate teachers working with refugees on how to psychologically support them and address any potential stigma and discrimination that refugees may encounter.
Refugee Trauma Initiative Hellas also designed an Early Childhood Care and Development Programme named “Baytna” that helps caregivers identify socio-emotional dysfunctions in young refugees aged 0-6. Socio-emotional dysfunctions resulting from trauma and toxic stress sustained from past traumatic events.
